Base in Maiori
The longest beach on the coast (930m), flat promenade, affordable, well-connected. The best family base — 2-3x cheaper than Positano.

2Minori beach — all-day sun
250m of fine sand facing south. Gets sun all day, shallow water for kids, and Sal De Riso's gelato is a 2-minute walk away.

3La Baia, Vietri — wide family beach
400m of sand, very sunny, easy to reach by car. One of the few accessible beaches for strollers and small children.

4Skip Positano with kids
Positano is a vertical city of stairs. With strollers or tired toddlers, it's miserable. Visit without kids, or take the ferry for a quick photo stop.

Kids love it. Workshops in Raito let children paint their own ceramic tile or plate to take home. A perfect rainy-day activity.

Take the ferry from Maiori to Amalfi (15 min) — the coast from the sea is spectacular. Kids treat it as a boat adventure, and you avoid the SS163.
