Vietri Ceramics Workshop

Vietri sul Mare has been the ceramic capital of southern Italy since the 1400s. The colorful tiles you see on every building, church dome, and restaurant table along the coast? They come from here. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of traditional Vietri majolica painting — the distinctive yellow, green, and blue patterns that define the Amalfi Coast aesthetic. A master ceramist guides you through sketching your design, mixing pigments, and applying them to a raw tile. Your tile is fired in the kiln after the workshop and shipped to your home address within 2 weeks. The workshop is inside a historic bottega in the old town, surrounded by centuries of ceramic tradition.
